Our Mission

The Right to Dream is  501C-3 non-profit organization whose mission is to bring the community of Northeastern Pennsylvania together and support our local youth as they pursue a soccer experience, whether it be extracurricular or the pursuit of a profession. This organization is open to all youth of any socioeconomic status with special attention to the underprivileged children of Northeastern PA.

Today, only a third of children from low-income families play sports compared to two-thirds of those from wealthier communities. The Right to Dream will level the playing field and break the culture of pay to play. Profits earned will be directly used to fund elite soccer training for all participants offering top quality individual and group training, coaching, game strategy and athlete talent exposure. Economic status of all participants will be taken into consideration and up to 100% financial support to players will be provided.

In addition to year-round soccer training for players of all abilities The Right to Dream will also provide group and individual training opportunities, year-round leagues and tournaments as well as numerous specialty camps and clinics for players aged 6-19. Age 19 and above Men and Women’s leagues will also be available year-round.

Frequent opportunities for The Right to Dream players to showcase their talents for national and international agents and coaches will be provided.

No matter what soccer pathway the individual chooses the values taken from The Right to Dream experience will positively impact the individual as well as the surrounding community as a whole.

The Right to Dream is affiliated with Pinto Soccer Development, a local small business owned and operated by Hardy Pinto Moreira. Hardy has professional playing experience that expanded throughout Europe.

The Wilkes-Barre Mayor, George Brown, has donated field space located on Gordon Avenue to this nonprofit which includes 3 large sided and 2 small sided fields. All care and maintenance of the Gordon Avenue fields is provided by volunteers. The goal of The Right to Dream is to have an indoor/outdoor sports complex on Gordon Avenue in Wilkes Barre in the near future, where future athletes will be groomed for success.
